Seven checks before a private-label order
1. Inspect the silhouette, handle, and balance
Lift the sample repeatedly, rotate it, set it down on several surfaces, and inspect the handle connection from every side. A portable lamp should feel intentional in the hand and stable on a tabletop. Check the gap between the diffuser and base, the handle alignment, and whether the unit rocks after assembly.
2. Test warm-light diffusion in a real room
Do not approve light quality from a specification alone. Place the lamp near a bed, sofa, restaurant table, or reception counter. Confirm the connector fit, cable specification, charging time, and indicator behavior. The current control sheet calls for USB-C input, a red indicator while charging, and the indicator turning off when full. Test with the agreed input condition and record abnormal behavior such as loose ports, heat, flicker, or a charging indicator that does not match the instructions.
5. Test runtime in every mode
A single runtime number is not enough. Record the starting charge, ambient temperature, selected mode, test start and finish time, and shutoff behavior. The current target is a 2000 mAh battery with 6–8 hours under standard use. Actual runtime can vary with the mode, battery condition, temperature, and test method, so define your acceptance method before mass production.
6. Measure the product and packaging
Measure the physical sample rather than copying numbers into an Amazon listing or DTC page. Confirm packed weight, protective clearance, label zones, barcode readability, and whether the inner protection survives the agreed transport tests.
7. Lock finish, labels, instructions, and tests
Before production, sign off the finish master, color standard, logo position, rating label, color-box artwork, barcode, warning copy, and instruction manual. The manual should explain charging, button actions, modes, auto-off behavior, care, warnings, and troubleshooting in clear U.S. English. Convert the signed sample and documents into a pre-shipment inspection checklist so the factory and buyer are judging the same requirements.
